Optimism Expressed For Philippines' Livestock Sector

PHILIPPINES - The Department for Agriculture (DA) sees bright prospects for the country's livestock industries.

Livestock, Aquaculture Output Rise Despite Drought

PHILIPPINES - The agriculture sector shrank by 2.8 per cent in the first quarter as a result of the prolonged drought although the livestock sector reports modest gains for the first quarter of the year.

The livestock and poultry sub-sectors managed to post modest gains in the first quarter of the year despite the onslaught of El NiƱo on key food-producing areas in the country, reports Philippine Star. More . . .
